Implants and Cosmetic Dentistry
“It is humbling to have a career that allows me to do what I love: work with my hands, meet new people, make other’s smile, and positively affect others around me. I like meeting my patients for the first time and hearing their stories about why they sought us out for care.”
Dr. Senan Najar is a board-certified oral implantologist, restorative dentist, orthodontist, educator, and recognized leader in implant dentistry. For more than 20 years, he has helped patients restore their health, confidence, and quality of life, from replacing a single missing tooth to rebuilding an entire smile.
Dr. Najar is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry, one of the most respected credentials in implant dentistry. His advanced education in implant surgery, restorative dentistry, and orthodontics allows him to evaluate the entire mouth—not simply one tooth—and create comprehensive treatment plans designed for long-term function, comfort, and natural-looking results.
He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with high honors in 2003. He later completed a residency in Operative Dentistry and earned a Master of Science in Dentistry from Indiana University. He also earned a Master of Science in Specialized Orthodontics from the International Medical School in Münster, Germany. His multidisciplinary background is especially valuable when treating complex implant, cosmetic, orthodontic, and full-mouth rehabilitation cases.
In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Najar is deeply committed to advancing the dental profession. He serves as Director of the AAID Seattle MaxiCourse, a comprehensive 300-hour implant dentistry education program that trains dentists in implant diagnosis, treatment planning, surgery, restoration, and complication management. He is also Vice President of the Western District of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, Vice President of the Mount Baker District Dental Society, and a Visiting Lecturer at Western Washington University.
Dr. Najar is a Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He has also served as a clinical educator, teaching dentists in implant dentistry, restorative treatment, orthodontics, and interdisciplinary full-mouth rehabilitation.
Although his qualifications are extensive, Dr. Najar believes that excellent dentistry begins with listening. Many patients come to him after years of living with missing teeth, uncomfortable dentures, dental anxiety, or complicated problems for which they have received different opinions. He takes the time to understand each patient’s concerns, explain the available options clearly, and develop a treatment plan that fits the patient’s individual health, priorities, and goals.
Dr. Najar combines extensive clinical experience with advanced digital technology, including three-dimensional imaging, digital scanning, guided implant planning, and modern restorative techniques. His goal is not simply to complete a procedure, but to provide predictable, personalized care that helps each patient eat comfortably, smile confidently, and feel fully informed throughout treatment.
For Dr. Najar, the most rewarding part of dentistry is seeing how restoring a person’s smile can transform far more than their teeth.
“Every patient has a different story. My responsibility is to listen carefully, understand what matters most to them, and provide the level of care I would want for a member of my own family.”
Dr. Najar welcomes patients seeking implant dentistry, full-mouth rehabilitation, cosmetic and restorative treatment, orthodontics, and thoughtful second opinions for complex dental concerns.
Professionally, Dr. Najar finds it essential to keep up to date with the latest technology in the field. That is why his office utilizes an advanced CBCT x-ray that takes a 3D image of the jaw and the airway. Dr. Najar gets the best fit for his Invisalign cases and porcelain crowns using an iTero digital scanner. He invested in an EKG monitor to offer his patients the safest possible sedation dentistry. Dr. Najar uses these tools to help patients achieve the SMILE they have always wanted.
Dr. Najar considers himself lucky to call Bellingham, WA, his home, where he lives with his wife and children. His children play sports, and Dr. Najar loves to be a team dad and watch the games. Outside work, his interests include attending social and community events, traveling, and hiking. He is an avid outdoor photographer; you can find him camping with family and friends on summer weekends.
